Officials at Norfolk, Va.-based Roanoke Cement Company, a Titan America business, announced that four of their cement distribution terminals have achieved the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star Challenge for Industry, which recognizes plants that demonstrate a commitment to the environment by achieving a 10% reduction in energy intensity within five or fewer years.

This was 4.0% higher compared with shipments for October 2010. Total shipments for the year through October were approximately 61.1 million mt, slightly higher compared to the same period in 2010.
