Camfil Air Pollution Control (APC) announced the industry’s first web-based system for fast, accurate and comprehensive dust collection diagnostics. The new GoldLink system provides round-the-clock access to dust collection operations by monitoring four preset analog inputs and 16 preset digital inputs. Designed for facilities that do not have building management systems, it is especially useful for companies with many remote dust collectors, 24/7 operating schedules, sensitive applications and/or the need to generate reports for OSHA, the EPA or other regulatory bodies.
The GoldLink unit ships preprogrammed and is installed and connected to the Internet, creating a tunnel for data to be sent to the Camfil APC server. Data is packaged in a usable format that allows customers and other authorized personnel to monitor the health of their filtration systems via a website. Critical points that are monitored include filter pressure drop, airflow velocity, emissions, fan and VFD run status, explosion protection devices and more.
GoldLink sends messages directly to the user when these devices reach critical set points, ensuring that preventive maintenance can be performed when needed to reduce operating costs and keep processes safer and more productive. It will also send messages if an accident or emergency occurs to ensure urgent response. Because the system is web-based, it keeps companies connected to vital information whether they are in or out of the factory.
The GoldLink home page displays graphical information on dust collector operations, with the ability to support multiple dust collectors and users. Easy-to-print reports can be generated at the touch of a button, at any desired frequency from daily to quarterly.
The GoldLink system is designed for use with any Camfil integrated control panel and may be retrofitted onto existing dust collection systems. It is purchased on a one-time cost basis with no monthly service fees.
