McInnis Cement outlined an Atlantic provinces distribution plan anchored on the acquisition of two CRH Canada terminals serving New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. The company said it will honor the orders of the clients supplied through those terminals and integrate their current employees.
“With the addition of these terminals to our network, we are now able to secure a solid position in this market” said Hervé Mallet, president and CEO of McInnis Cement.
Under a separate agreement, McInnis will begin cement deliveries to CRH Canada terminals in Long Pond, Argentia and Corner Brook, Newfoundland, this fall.
The Atlantic province facilities join the following U.S. and Canada distribution facilities: Providence, R.I.; Oshawa, Ontario; and Sainte-Catherine, Quebec, marine terminals as well as a New Richmond, Quebec, railway transshipment station. A Bronx, N.Y., marine terminal will join the network in 2018.
