The World Cement Association (WCA) announced that Royal White Cement is the latest addition to its international membership, now spanning 38 countries. The company joins as a corporate member.
“We are delighted to welcome this U.S.-based member to our expanding global network,” said Norman Greig, WCA secretary general. “The United States is the world’s third biggest cement producer and we are looking forward to working together with such an important local player to promote and strengthen the goals of the global cement industry.”
Royal White Cement was established in 1999. The Houston-based producer has an annual capacity of 500,000 tons and supplies white cement to customers throughout the United States from seven locations.
“As the international cement market continues to evolve, with emerging markets in particular becoming more influential in the global ecosystem, there is a clear need for a worldwide organization to represent the sector as a whole and bring together players from all across the globe,” said Marcel Fadi, CEO and president of Royal White Cement.
