Cemex, S.A.B. de C.V. announced that it is joining the Global Alliance for YOUth (All4YOUth), a business-driven youth employment initiative created by Nestlé in 2014 with close to 200 business partners. The company’s participation in the alliance will help more than 65,000 young people by 2022.
“Cemex seeks to promote and participate in high-impact social programs to empower women, youth, and communities, helping them find employment and improve family incomes. We are currently members of the [New Employment Opportunities] alliance, an initiative that works to raise and strengthen employment opportunities for young people through scholarships, counseling, and job training. Now, together with All4YOUth, we continue to strengthen our commitment to youth, and through this global alliance, we are convinced that we can help them on a larger scale,” said Fernando A. Gonzalez, CEO of Cemex.
The aim of All4YOUth is to reduce school dropout rates, contribute to young people’s employability, and to help them develop their skills for the workplace of today and tomorrow. Internally, Cemex continues its digital talent development by hiring and preparing people with work capabilities for the future.
