Heidelberg Materials North America’s cement technical services and material quality control teams came together for its annual Tech Week to learn about emerging trends and technologies, discuss sustainability and digital innovations, and share best practices.
“Tech Week is a great opportunity for our technical services and quality control experts across our product lines to meet, learn and collaborate with their peers and colleagues from other areas of the business,” said Lori Tiefenthaler, senior director of marketing for Heidelberg Materials North America. “This year was especially rewarding with the strong focus on transforming our business through our digital and sustainability initiatives and challenging our teams to further engage with each other, sales and operations and our customers.”
This year, the meeting was kicked off by Phil Redmond, senior vice president, global competence center aggregates & asphalt, and was hosted at the new cement plant in Mitchell, Ind. The agenda for the week included codes and standards developments, digital opportunities, sustainable product developments and marketing, recycled aggregates, an overview and outlook on SCMs and future-proofing the business through a focus on sustainability and digitalization.
Tech Week attendees also had the opportunity to tour the Mitchell facility and learned about transformational projects underway throughout Heidelberg Materials.
