Sublime Systems’ low-carbon cement officially appeared in its first commercial construction project, a prominent section of the interior entryway of One Boston Wharf – Boston’s largest net-zero-carbon office building.
“WS Development has developed this innovative and beautiful building … and we are grateful that they have embraced our material to showcase the possibilities in construction for the post-carbon world,” said Sublime Systems. “They have an inspiring mission to ‘create places people want to be’ and this building exemplifies that, attracting great tenants (Amazon) while simultaneously advancing a world that is cleaner and more sustainable.”
The company reported the concrete made with its low-carbon Sublime Cement was poured and finished like the standard material.
“This milestone was made possible by the hard work of our entire team and our collaborators at Boston Sand & Gravel, who have worked closely with us to validate our material for high performance in the field,” concluded the company.
