LafargeHolcim appointed Jay M. Moreau as chief executive officer of U.S. Aggregates and Construction Materials operations. Moreau joins LafargeHolcim from Martin Marietta Materials where he held the position of senior vice president of operations services. He succeeds Guy Edwards, who was recently appointed CEO of Aggregate Industries in the UK.
“Jay has a proven track record in this industry, and his expertise and strong focus on commercial growth and operational excellence will be valued contributions to LafargeHolcim in the U.S.,” said René Thibault, LafargeHolcim group executive committee member and region head, North America. “Having started his career in commercial roles, we know he will bring strong leadership to the organization and drive continued growth across our U.S. business.”
Moreau rose through the Martin Marietta ranks to regional vice president, general manager and division president leading into his most recent position. He received a bachelor’s degree in business/pre-law from Juniata College, and holds certificates of achievement from Georgia Institute of Technology and University of Virginia-Darden School of Management.
