Holcim (Colombia) S.A. received recertification in gender equality from the EDGE Certified Foundation. The foundation granted Holcim its EDGE Move certification, making it the only company within the construction sector to achieve the recognition.
“It pleases us to receive this recertification, a result of constant work that focuses on achieving equality of opportunities for men and women in our organization, designing clear and overwhelming actions to lessen the gender gap every day and transcend that through our clients, providers and communities,” said Eunice Herrera, public affairs and human resources director of Holcim (Colombia).
The global EDGE certification has been designed to not only help organizations create an optimal place of work for men and women, but also benefit from it. An organization certified at the EDGE Move level has conducted a detailed assessment and undergone an independent third-party verification examining where the organization stands in terms of gender balance across the talent pipeline, gender pay equity, creating an effective framework of policies and practices that ensure equitable career flows, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture for both the male and female employees and reached the EDGE global standard in some of these areas.
Holcim (Colombia) has been certified since 2016. The recent recertification will be valid from Dec. 31, 2019 – Dec. 30, 2021.
