Cementos Argos has started to deliver 23,000 face masks to its construction and hardware customers around Colombia, as part of its commitment to the continuity of sector operations in biosafety conditions and the revitalization of the economy.
Additionally, the company will deliver biosafety kits containing thermometers, floor charts to reinforce social distancing, and a digital health-monitoring app to its business clients in 19 departments.
“At Cementos Argos we have the firm intention of being the best allies of our clients and, in this context, it becomes more relevant than ever to work hand-in-hand for the health and well-being of our strategic allies, to contribute directly to the safe continuity of construction, the recovery of the industry and the health of the economy. This situation has been a call to join efforts to respond together to the challenges and act with discipline, empathy and solidarity,” said Tomás Restrepo, vice president of the Colombia Regional of Cementos Argos.
This is the latest in a string of community initiatives. Earlier this year, the company delivered food packages to more than 15,200 construction workers through the “A Call to Empathy” campaign, which was led by the Grupo Argos Foundation and in alliance with Sura, Bancolombia and Nutresa.
