Heidelberg Materials NA Introduces HROC

As mentioned during the Heidelberg Materials Capitals Markets Day, the company is introducing the Heidelberg Materials Remote Optimization Center (HROC), a transformational leap in how the company operates cement plants in North America by implementing new technologies, real-time analytics and automation to enhance efficiency.

HROC will support Heidelberg plants with a dedicated organization that uses data-driven decisions to enable the best possible outcomes with outage planning, reliability, quality, process engineering and control room operations. By improving efficiency, the company is unlocking measurable gains – not just in reliability and cost, but in reducing CO₂ emissions through smarter, more sustainable energy use.

“With HROC we strive to empower our plants with centralized expertise to deliver transformational growth and sustainability improvement,” said Edgar Angeles Garza, vice president of HROC. “This will be made possible by implementing advanced levels of optimization, the standardized adoption of new technologies and advanced process control.”

Heidelberg Materials has assembled a talented team to drive this initiative and said it is excited about the journey ahead. The goal is not just streamlining processes – it’s about unlocking powerful synergies and better harnessing the strengths and talents of people across the organization, the company stated.
