Jacques Bourgon, currently the head of occupational health and safety for Holcim Ltd., as well as senior advisor to CEO Bernard Fontana and member of senior management, has decided to pursue other challenges outside the Swiss-based global building materials and aggregates company. Bourgon’s final day with Holcim is Dec. 31.
In a statement, Holcim thanked Bourgon for the valuable contributions he has made to the success of the company in various roles during his 24 years with the company. He joined Holcim in 1990 and held several positions at Holcim Apasco in Mexico, mainly as plant manager at Tecomán and later responsible for cement operations as member of Holcim Apasco senior management. Bourgon holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the Ecole Catholique d’Arts et Métiers, Lyon, and a postgraduate degree from Harvard Business School.
