Total shipments of portland and blended cement in the United States and Puerto Rico in July 2015 were about 9.3 million metric tons (Mt), up slightly from the level in July 2014, according to the most recent USGS Mineral Industry Survey. Shipments for the year through July totaled 50.0 Mt, up by 3.4 percent from the same period in 2014.
