Under an agreement with power company EGE Haina, Cemex Dominican Republic will buy wind energy for its San Pedro plant as an unregulated user of the National Interconnected Electric System (SENI), reported the Dominican Today. The agreement will allow the company to replace the consumption of electricity from fossil fuels, with energy from renewable sources at the facility.
