Registration Opens for Slag Cement School

The Slag Cement Association (SCA) announced that registration is open for the third annual Slag Cement School, April 29-30 in Alsip, Ill. The school will include educational presentations as well as a behind-the-scenes look at Holcim’s South Chicago cement plant.

“We are thrilled to see the continued interest in SCA’s annual Slag Cement Schools,” said Nick Brimley, SCA marketing director. “It’s a unique opportunity for attendees to learn about the many benefits of utilizing slag cement in concrete construction while also being able to network with peers and industry leaders from across the country.”

Slag Cement School sessions include:

  • Slag Cement Basics, Production, and Cementitious Properties, presented by Mark Van Kleunen, Skyway Cement.
