The 58th annual IEEE-IAS/PCA Cement Industry Technical Conference, May 15-19 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas, featured a new series of training sessions, according to its organizing committee.
“Process Training” was offered in 10 modules – five models each on Monday and Tuesday of the conference. Each module was approximately one hour long and covered cement production process topics such as “Basics of Modern Kiln Systems,” “Grinding and Separation Theory,” “Environmental Emissions” and more. As the largest trade show in the cement industry, the IEEE-IAS/PCA Cement Industry Technical Conference featured unprecedented technical presentations, tutorials, state-of-the-industry updates, and Professional Development Training sessions, in addition to several networking opportunities and a student outreach program.
