Cemex’s Health Week ran from Aug. 7-11, and nearly 9,000 employees were encouraged to learn the keys to healthy lifestyles that can enhance their lives. The program focused on the Building Blocks of Health and urged employees to be active, eat and drink wisely, prevent stress, quit tobacco, sleep well and be financially fit.
“We care about the health and well-being of all our employees at Cemex,” said Cemex USA President Ignacio Madridejos. “Our employees are key to the success of our company, and by focusing on these health fundamentals, we can help ensure they are around for Cemex and their families for years to come.”
The Health Week program also encouraged employees to know their health numbers, such as blood pressure, weight and cholesterol. Cemex provides industry-leading health-management programs at no cost, and when employees know their numbers, they can get guidance along the way to achieve better health.
