The Broward County (Fla.) Sheriff’s Office said it was investigating the death of a contractor who was killed during a fall at Heidelberg Materials’ cement terminal at Port Everglades, according to local media.
The body of the employee was found shortly before 11:30 a.m. inside a facility at the site, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
It was not immediately clear what led to the fall.
The employee worked for an unidentified company that was hired to perform repair work, reported local media.
